Best bits: It was great to have a whole day here at The Elms Hotel – I really enjoyed my delicious lunch of chicken liver parfait followed by green pea risotto and a glass of white wine.
The spa was lovely but the best facility for me was the indoor-outdoor jacuzzi which was sheltered by palms and tropical plants. I spent ages soaking in here and when you looked up to the roof edge above there was a line of white doves peeping over! Later from the roof terrace, I counted 40 of them up there!
Down sides: Unfortunately seating areas were few and far between as there were not enough loungers around the pool or chairs on the terrace for all the visitors and I felt it was a quiet day when I visited. The sauna didn’t seem to be working in the afternoon which was a disappointment. As much as staff were attentive they were hard to find! Particularly when I wanted to pay and leave.
Tip: Take a walk around the lovely vegetable gardens too
