The Elms

Best bits: It was great to have a whole day here and I really enjoyed my delicious lunch of chicken liver parfait followed by green pea risotto and a glass of white wine. The best facility for me was the indoor-outdoor jaquizzi which was sheltered by palms and tropical plants. When you looked up to the roof edge above it was lined with lovely white doves! Later from the roof terrace I counted 40 of them! It was very relaxing!

Down sides: Unfortunately seating areas were few and far between as there were not enough loungers around the pool or chairs on the terrace for all the visitors and I felt it was quite when I visited. The sauna didn’t seem to be working in the afternoon which was a disappointment. As much as staff were attentive they were hard to find! Particularly when I wanted to pay and leave.

Tip: Take a walk around the lovely vegetable gardens too
